Recent MFA graduate from Monash University’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (MADA), where I also teach Film and Media Studies as a Sessional Lecturer.

My experience includes working as a Moving Image Designer at the National Gallery of Victoria and in post-production at VICE Media. Currently, I’m working part time as the Project Manager of Multimedia for the Collections team at Arts Centre Melbourne.

​Hear Troy Emery discuss his work Mountain climber, commissioned for the NGV as part of the Melbourne Now exhibition. Emery primarily works with textiles and sculpture, creating animal-like forms that examine the discourse surrounding fine art, craft and the delineations between the two. Through his work, Emery explores humankind’s relationship with animals and their historical representations in museums and in taxidermied form.
